Website Visitor
Website Visitor is not a replacement for your regular browser. It is just a simple tool to quickly view your favorite sites. You only need to set up your favorite sites once. When you start Website Visitor, all sites are displayed in one tabbed window, each with a built-in browser based on Microsoft Edge (WebView2). This is very useful for webmail and news. You can load, refresh or stop one site, or all sites at once by holding down Ctrl, and optionally refresh all sites or cycle through them automatically.
Please note: As web browsers have improved to support loading multiple websites in multiple tabs at once, the Website Visitor project has been discontinued.
It has only been updated to run on Windows 10 and 11, with Microsoft Edge (WebView2) instead of Internet Explorer.
Installation
If necessary, you will be prompted to install the required .NET Desktop Runtime when you launch the app. When you launch a newly released version, Windows may display a warning. If you see the message "Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting." you can click "More info" and then "Run anyway". Alternatively, open the properties of the .exe file and select the "Unblock" checkbox. Read more...Website Visitor also needs the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime, which is included in Windows 10 and 11 (with Microsoft Edge). If it is missing, Website Visitor shows a message and stops.
